  Great 22 inch LCD
This little LCD hasn't got the credit it deserves, (3.5 stars ??). We got this LCD to replace a 15 year old 26 inch RCA tube TV in our bedroom. We were contemplating a 26 inch LCD, but decided to go with the 22 inch. We are very big fans of all TVs Panasonic; 1 plasma, 1 TAU and now 1 LCD. It has beautiful imagery and great sound. The menu is very intuitive with many options to fine tune the picture and audio. Speakers are just fine for a bedroom. The docking system is great. Our room is 12x12 and I can't believe these reviewers that put a 42 inch TV in their 12x12 bedrooms. Way too big. With the lights on the TV appears small but the picture is so clear and crisp it makes up for it. All text is very easy to read from 10 feet away. With the lights off you would be hard pressed to guess it's only a 22 inch. If you need to upgrade a TV for your bedroom, this TV is an excellent choice.

  What are people talking about?
Okay so i decided after reading the reviews that I would take my chances and get this tv using my christmas money from my grandparents for my college dorm room. The volume is fine. I watch use my playstation 3 to watch netflix, play video games, and watch dvds. I can honestly say that I have never had the volume above 30. I can hear perfectly fine and for video games i have to turn it down to around 17 so that the whole house doesn't hear me shooting monsters. The quality on this television is great, and no the volume might not be enough for your giant living room but it is perfect for a smaller room such as a bedroom or kitchen.

  TV Fit for a Bedroom
I purchased this TV for our bedroom to clear away an old TV we have. I read prior reviews that the sound quality would not be good. Already owning several Panasonic TVs over the past 17 years, I trusted that this should be a good TV. It has not let me down. The sound quality is good for a 22 inch TV. The picture quality is great and the colors are rich and vibrant. I am very pleased with the TV so far and would recommend it to my friends. I purchased this on sale on Amazon and really feel I got a great deal and a great TV for the price I paid. The TV fit a standard tilting wall mount without any extra hardware. This has been a great purchase for my bedroom.

  Great TV, great price!
"I'm an everyday user, i.e. NOT a technophile. I did some research before buying, but at the end of the day, I wanted something I could enjoy without spending a fortune, and I'm happy with what we got. Some tips on buying your TV, whether this one or another:
1) 120 Hz refresh rate -- great for future-proofing, but realize that your cable box may not yet transmit in anything faster than 60 Hz. I don't know if this is different for satellite or antenna transmissions. Also, make sure you buy an appropriate HDMI cable that supports 120 Hz...this should be listed on the package. (Although it may not be needed now, it will be when the cable boxes update again.)
2) 1080p -- crystal-clear picture when watching 720p or 1080i programming (nothing on cable is shot in 1080p yet) or 1080p Blu-Ray video. The picture is almost kind of eerie at first, sort of like a soap opera-type appearance, which can be unusual if you're not used to it. I adjusted to it quickly, but it took my wife some time. In the store, ask them to show you something on the airwaves in full HD, or have them run a standard DVD if you think you'll be watching that some via your Blu-Ray player. It is definitely an adjustment.
3) Sound -- always a knock on TVs, though for my purposes, it's fine (it's in our living room, not our media room). I really like the "night" option for the sound; it keeps the sounds from ebbing-and-flowing as dramatically, i.e. from conversation to a car chase, which is nice when you have kids in bed.
4) Computer connectivity -- I have a laptop with HDMI output, so we have connected that the TV and watched something streaming from websites. You can pay extra for "internet connectivity" applications like Netflix, Blockbuster, etc., though since we already had that with our Blu-Ray, we didn't duplicate with the TV. The easy computer connectivity is a nice feature."

Samsung LN40C630 -- Worth the wait!
I researched my first purchase of an HDTV extensively over the last 4-6 weeks. After a couple of disappointing experiences related to models and brands other than this one (one TV I ordered never arrived, one came defective and had to be returned), I discovered the Samsung LN40C630, which was recently released by Samsung. It is an amazing TV and it almost made the problems with the other TVs I previously ordered worth the pain. This TV was easy to set up, has nice sound, beautiful picture, and user-friendly menu options. It also looks really nice in my home. I was not a big fan of the red trim (Touch of Color) on some of the other Samsungs, so was pleased to see a model that had nice, less gimmicky esthetic details. I LOVE THIS TV.

  Amazing TV!!
After shopping around a while for a 40" lCD for the bedroom, this Samsung hands down is the best... It rates top in the picture quality, sound and inputs. I looked at the Sony KDL40ex500 but for the same price for the Samsung it was a no brainer. The Sony Bravia is a good TV but Samsung is the best. Please, please get a service aggreement no matter what TV you buy because things happen as you may know. I recommend trying Square Trade Warranty it's half the price of all other warranties and they offer four years. I asked a lot of questions and compaired the service agreement with all other competitors and I was very confident and satisfied that they will hold up to all the others. They will come to your house you don't have to ship it etc. Most of all the concerns of the TV if something were to happen would be covered. Remember no warranty is going to cover 100% if you neglect the TV. But anyway, be smart! get the Samsung!!!! you 'll be happy have fun...

  Exceeded Expectations, Very Pleased
After shopping a lot locally and checking all the brands in person, I found this model on Amazon priced several hundred $$ UNDER the the best local price, and free shipping (and no local sales tax).

The TV took about 2 weeks to arrive, it sat in a St Louis warehouse for a week waiting for a truck to head to Columbia. (The delivery service only comes to Columbia once a week.) The delivery service unpacked the unit and checked for DOA, a nice touch!

This LG 42" is AMAZING. I watch broadcast TV and streaming Netflix. The HD1080 broadcasts are so sharp, it just blows me away. I find myself watching stupid TV shows just to admire the HD1080 image quality. The streaming Netflix is in 720p but still very nice. I may upgrade my broadband and ROKU box just to get the HD1080. This unit makes it worth it.

The LG specs are impressive, super fast response, high contrast etc. I am COMPLETELY PLEASED with this unit and cannot understand why others charge so much more for units that do not come close to the picture quality of this set.

SIMPLY THE BEST PICTURE + PRICE
It took me a lot of researching and critical thinking to purchase my first HDTV. I decided to wait all these years and I am SOOOOOOO happy to have waited. This LG HDTV is perhaps the best TV for the PRICE!. It has UNBELIEVABLE picture quality with JUST AN OVER THE AIR ANTENA! Forget about the 120 hz, 240 hz, this TV is AMAZING at 60 hz! If you don't have CABLE or SATELITE service, don't worry, this TV performs perfectly with over the air signal with a good rabbit ear antena. That is because this TV has a built-in tuner that will adjust to provide you the best picture quality (USE THE PICTURE WIZARD TO HELP YOU, IS VERY EASY TO USE). I am VERY HAPPY with my purchase. I am an AMAZON PRIME customer and I paid $3.99 for overnight delivery! I bought this TV on Blackfriday and received it, via FEDEX, next day Saturday 9:30am!!! AMAZON HAS AMAZING CUSTOMER AND DELIVERY SERVICE!!! THANK YOU AMAZON, YOU HAVE MADE MY HOLIDAY SEASON MERRY! GOD BLESS YOU!

  Great TV for the price.
I bought this tv because it was cheaper than the LG 37" tv and because of the 2 year financing on it. I am amazed by how nice this lcd looks and performs. We have a 46" Toshiba lcd that is about a year old, and this one blows it away....faster response times on everything from changing channels to anything. Has a good picture even on basic cable. Xbox 360 works and looks great on it. Very satisfied with this lcd.

  Great tv for the price
I have had this TV for about 2 months and really am enjoying it. It has a great picture and color clarity. Works well with DVD, VHS, blu-ray/ PS3, wii, and a computer hooked up. I have all of this hooked up constantly and there were plenty of different types of ports to make it all work. The only negative is the menu system. For some things you have to go through 3 or 4 screens to get to the setting that you want. Not a huge deal, but it could be better.

  Great TV!
This is my first flat panel TV, and I shopped around alot before I purchased this set. It came promptly, was very well packed for shipment, and came out of the box in pristine condition. I mounted it in the bedroom, on the Cheetah brand wall mount, and used the screws supplied with the set that would normally have been used for the table mount. They fit the wall mount holes as well, which made it nice. The only problem there is that the wall mount bracket blocks one of the HDMI jacks.

The set works fine, and the picture quality is excellent, especially on Blue Ray DVD's. I don't have my HD satellite service hooked up yet, but I am very happy with the set, and I'm sure that my satellite HD reception will be as nice as the Blue Ray DVD's.

All in all, a very positive ordering experience, and a very good TV.

  Great TV with good price
I have bought this TV two months ago, and been very pleased with the purchase since.

UPS guy delivered just box (no extra packaging) got me little surprised, but other than that performance/price/features are as good as it gets. You may want other fancy parts of new TV technology but I'm just fine with everything I do with TV, watching sports, movies, and computer.

It has very crisp and convenient remote menu (very responsive as well). I could've gone 720 res, but it is obvious now that 1080 is better choice. I had some doubts on buying reasonably priced electronics (because things get changed around so quick nowadays and you ended up getting obsolete technology at low price). So, if you're thinking the same, this one is a good buy for you.

I definitely recommend this product, and am thinking of buying another one, its bigger 42" brother for the living room. I usually do not write reviews on products but I have to for this one.

A Very good TV for the money
I have been using this TV for over a month now and everything is good about it so far.

The only thing that I would have loved in this TV was to have the Samsung Internet@TV feature, where I could directly watch You Tube videos, Netflix etc, but this TV does not have this feature, unlike some other high-end Samsung HDTVs. That was dissapointing. I wish I had spend a couple of hundered dollars more and got a model with Internet@TV feature.

But, you can still hook up this TV to your wireless router at home and stream videos and pictures from your PC/Laptop wirelessly.

I am planning to buy the Samsung Blue-Ray 5.1 channel home theatre system with the Internet@TV feature, and that would take care of everything that is lacking in this TV that I would like to have.

If you are not looking for advanced features, but a very good reliable TV with great picture quality, this is a very good buy for the money.

What a awesome TV especially for the price
I picked this TV up this weekend and all I can say is WOW. Set up was easy. A little note to those who think they received the wrong stand, the stand slides into a slot on the bottom of the TV. It took my girlfriend pointing this out while I kept trying to rest the TV on the stand and making the holes line up. The first thing we did was put in a BD movie and the contrast and clarity was everything you could want in a HD TV (outside of a LED). The room it is set up in is kind of bright but the picture quality was barely affected. Once the room was dark everything was ultra vivid. Highly recommend this one.

  Great TV.
Purchased this a couple of weeks back and was a little bit frustrated at first because the picture was just too voraciously crisp. Film looked like video basically until I called Samsung and we found the solution. It was just a matter of turning down the blur reduction and jutter reduction in picture options from 5 to 3. Unfortunately that detail is not covered in the user's manual so it took a call to their customer care line to work through it. Very happy now. I feel like I got an amazing amount of TV for under a grand -- delivered!

Great bedroom TV for the money!
I just bought this TV to replace a 5 year old LCD TV I previously had in my bedroom. For the money, this is a great TV even with the lower contrast ratio compared to more expensive models. I typically buy Samsung LCD and LED TVs but the low price of this LG tempted me to try something new and so far I have no regrets. Other reviewers have done a great job at highlighting what is great about the TV so I am not going to repeat what they have already said.

I did, however, want to make a quick mention of the resolution. LG says that this TV is only 720p but my PS3 detected it as supporting 1080p. I've heard of people being able to force certain 720p TVs to do 1080p and it appears that this TV is perhaps one of them. I did play a couple of my PS3 games that are in 1080p and the TV did, in fact, run in 1080p looking great so... take that for what its worth.

For a TV that can be had for under $400, this is a great buy.

  Stunning Picture Quality
I bought this TV couple of months ago from Walmart. What a stunning picture quality it has. It stood out from all the TVs on display around it due to it's vivid color and crisp picture. We bought it immediately and no regret. We love the picture quality. Sound quality is average as they say how it is in the flat TVs. Hence I bought a home theater system to complement it's picture quality and now we have stunning picture with amazing sound. Watching TV/movies is more fun than ever. With the home theater system, the sound is now balanced and there is no shocking sound level increase during the commercials.

The remote is nice and I like the quick setup button which pops up a circular dialogue box on the TV with most frequently used settings.

It has two HDMI inputs altough some competition TVs have more than 2 HDMI inputs. It also features a digital optical audio out and number of other traditional connectors including VGA input so that you could use it as a monitor for your computer.

  Great TV, Great Price
I was looking for a TV for my master bedroom for about $400. This was by far the best tv for the price and value. Rich picture, great sound and awesome black levels. Not an 1080? Yea, you can't notice a difference with a 32" TV. Not 120 Hz, why buy? Believe me, this is not a living room TV for entertaining family. This is a side room tv that is a nice upgrade from a tube TV. Great TV, nuff said.

A Home Theater Centerpiece

First, it should be noted that I was shopping for a 1080p quality strictly. I have a home theater system with external speakers and advanced distance learning, if the sound quality of the component remote control TV and played a small role in my decision to buy this model. LN46C630 but it was better for 46 "1080 I found that had all the qualities I was looking for. My criteria were for a model with 120 Hz, enough HDMI inputs (4), PC input, a large proportion of editable controls the image, the better black level, the lack of motion blur and costs are less than $1000.

This HDTV has all these things, and beat the competition of similar models from LG and Sony for what they thought was clearer, more explicit pictures, like a great black level. The only thing I felt was missing on the TV screen, that the structure is more prone to flare. Well, because my room is pretty dark, which is not a real interest, it may be different from the more ambient light viewing room.

Here are a couple features I learned about only after I had the set that may be useful in making a decision.:

-The TV has Eco Sensor which will automatically adjust the brightness of the TV based on the ambient light of the room. No worries, this CAN easily be turned off, and is definitely something to be aware of.

-In the Advanced settings menu there are 2 expert patterns that you can use to dial in your picture settings. One is a contrast / brightness pattern, the other a color pattern.

-If you'll be using the TV's speakers there is volume equalization which adjusts the volume automatically as you switch channel to channel.

-You can stream media to this TV through your wired LAN or from an external USB storage device. if you want to do wireless, you'll need Samsung's optional wireless adapter.

-The stock remote has a very narrow IR stream. You'll want to point it not at the center of the screen as most people do, but at the bottom right corner. It works fantastic once you learn to do that.

Some other important notes I'd mention to those that purchase this model:

-At default levels the contrast is maxed out to 100 for every input. I and many others refer to this as "torch mode". That setting will shorten the life of your TV immensely and it needs to be adjusted first thing for each input. While properly calibrating your TV is more than I care to get into here (and pointless since every display is different as well as every input), a setting of 50 contrast and 50 brightness is good place to start for those that don't have any other means of calibrating it more precisely. I also lowered the back light from a default 14 to 10.

-Under the picture options there is a setting called Auto Motion Plus. This is what controls motion blur. Familiarize yourself with the effects of this control. If you are like me it's going be disturbing to have this control on "Standard' to view bluray movies because it removes the natural blur of the camera moving and panning which to me is an annoyance. I use the "Clear" mode or just turn it off for movies.

-Also the effects of the sharpness control only add noise to your image, use the sharpness control very judiciously. I have mine all the way down to a setting of 9.

All in all this is a fantastic set for the price. The very minor issues it has are far outweighed by the price, the amazing picture quality, and the tremendous control you have over adjusting the image to your liking.
